All i want for christmas

I don't want a lot for Christmas,There's just one thing I need. I don't care about the presents underneath the Christmas tree, I just want you for my own, More than you could ever know Make my wish come true All I want for Christmas is.......You.
I don't want a lot for Christmas, There's just one thing I need, I don't care about the presents
Underneath the Christmas tree, I don't need to hang my stocking There upon the fireplace
Santa Claus won't make me happy With a toy on Christmas day, I just want you for my own More than you could ever know, Make my wish come true All I want for Christmas is you,You baby
I won't ask for much this Christmas I don't even wish for snow I'm just gonna keep on waiting
Underneath the mistletoe I won't make a list and send it To the North Pole for Saint Nick I won't even stay awake to Hear those magic reindeers click 'Cause I just want you here tonight Holding on to me so tight What more can I do Baby all I want for Christmas is you. All the lights are shining so brightly everywhere and the sound of children's laughter fills the air and everyone is singing, I hear those sleigh bells ringing
Santa won't you bring me the one I really need, Won't you please bring my baby to me... Oh I don't want a lot for Christmas, This is all I'm asking for. I just want to see my baby Standing right outside my door. Oh I just want you for my own More than you could ever know, Make my wish come true. Baby all I want for Christmas is... You
All I want for Christmas is you

hockey players= angels?

I don't know about all of them being angels but I think I found a guardian angel cleverly disguised as a hockey player! Yes my friends in this picture you see Mr. katty perry (sorry I know poor taste joke) with my God sent hockey player Mr. Mike Hamilton. Hami has been so amazing. I've been on a dude break cause of some recent crap and I had been on this recent dude break for 2 weeks when I started to talk to Mike again. I recently told him I believed God had sent him to me to help heal my heart. Instead of being freaked out he responds in the best way possible, as a gentleman saying "I'll do my best!" See this is where all the girls say "AWWWWW!" With hockey flowing in my veins nothing is better than a guardian angel played by a hockey player. I'm happy to say that Mike is doing well and with me and Jesus in his corner what else does he need? love ya mike!

5 foot 3 part Slovakian girl VS 6 foot 7 full blooded slovakian boy

When you're 5 foot 3 inches tall there's not much room to really trust someone who you have to crane your neck to look at. But as I craned my neck to look at a full blooded Slovakian who towered over me at 6 foot 7 inches tall and 250 pounds I felt tears sting the back of my eyes. "My God he's beautiful," I thought. He seemed walked passed me in one giant step but I tugged at his jersey after saying "Boris?" He looks and smiled, I'm sure all he saw was a tiny girl who was completely terrified of him. "UM... I'm Slovakian and so um..... Can I get a picture?" His smile grew wider and he says "You're slovak?" I smiled and said yes. He put one long arm around me and lowered his head to kiss the top of mine. I think he felt like there was some cool conection and pride in a Slovakian community in Georgia. I got my picture I asked for and told him that my grandma makes the best Hullusky in Georgia if he ever wanted to taste it to let me know. He agreed to at least try it. As I looked for something in his face I found a lot..... I found my nose, my eyes and eyebrows, my lips and as search the rest of him for some more something I found more of me..... my hair, my skin and my long fingers and big hands and feet. I noticed that I was him in a small girl package. I think he saw me get over whelmed cause he started to rub my back. How could he look so much like me? I was over whelmed by the idea that I was more connected to my annsectors than I once thought. I know he's one Slovak and there are hundreds of thousands of Slovaks who don't look like him or me but I know there's got to be a few. He finally did get his Hullusky from my Grandma and as far as I know he liked it. The reason I bring Boris up again is because I still miss my giant! I look at old posts of mine or old post of my friend, Ms. Virginia and just feel so sad that my giant won't be there any more! That quote from the AJC just kills me. He talked like some kid who's looking for a home "I'll be good, I can learn, Please pick me!" How can Don and the higher ups treat him like that? Far as I know he did all they asked of him. He definitley had the drive, work ethic and willingness to learn. I have no clue it just upset me it took all I had not to jump Don at the game saturday

Sights of thrasher hockey

The thrashers are looking good and for that we are thankful. Lately I have been looking at the pictures on the thrashers website and the fact that they're doing good provides a some amazing pictures including this one of Mr. Ondrej Pavelec saluting the crowd at blue land! And sometimes it's new faces to the organization that provide the awesome pictures like our baby Russian Alex Burmistrov. Burmi scored his first NHL goal with the thrashers. So I'll be posting these awesome images every so often so Y'all can see the happy, passionaite, firey and hard working boys!

The Fan that hates the thrashers

I'm not talking about an ACTUAL fan, believe me I don't want to start anything in Atlanta. There's a radio station called 680 the fan in Atlanta and apparently they believe in false advertising because they claim to be "The home for your Atlanta Thrashers" when in reality they want to have as little to do with the Thrashers as possible but still get thrasher fans to listen to their station. It worked on some fans but others learned the thruth. My friend and fellow blogger Ms. Virgina posted stuff on the face book page of 680 the fan only to be deleted and they told her after at least 2 or 3 post not to only talk about the wins so she posted something about a losing game and still got deleted. Do they not want to be known for being the home of the thrasher? If you don't want stuff like that posted on the facebook page don't claim to be the home of the team!

Star Player: Evander Kane

Not only should Matt Cooke look out for Evander and the rest of the youngsters coming up but so should everyone else. This is the second time I've honored a youngster for the second time! Evander is doing so very well in the 4-2 victory on opening night against the Capitals he scored 2 goals and has been a force to be reconed with! I'm very proud of this kid and excited to see what he's going to do next (maybe a fight with ovie?). So good luck kid!

Happy birthday to...

Andrew Ladd

Puck Cancer!

11 year old Shannon Tavarez should have grown up. Grown up to do more broadway, got married and have kids. She should have enjoyed dancing in the rain more and staying out late with her friends instead she HAD cancer and DIED!!! She is not the 1st Child to die of this of this horrible disease and she won't be the last. Recently we had a death in our hockey family when our booster club president for the gladiators passed away shortly after the season ended. It was fitting that the boys honored him as a star of the game at the end of last season before he passed away. We lost so many people to this hateful disease. Recently we lost the lead singer for LFO Rich Cronin, Farrah Fawcett and Patrick Sawzy. These people were such amazing people who will be missed. I will honor survivors later so if you are a survivor or know one please let me know!
Puck Cancer!!!!!

One amazing thing from the game

Friday night's game was a bust but this picture shows an amazing thing I noticed, Alex Bumistov (BURMI) can handle his own when it comes to other players being on his tail while he has the puck! I love burmi with all my heart he has been a joy to watch. The one thing about it though is that a lot of people like to think that because he is small, he won't be any good in the long run well he is sticking his tongue out and saying "ha! I can do this and I will!" Keep showing them burmi!

This is just awesome

Austin Keiser: Junior Hockey Goalie

Me and Austin met at camp over the summer, he was one of  the goalie coaches and he was so awesome with the kids. I knew he was young just by looking at him, I didn't just how young until he told me he just turned 19 over the summer! I swear these kids, they're making me feel so old! I'm about to turn 24 and he just turned 19!  But he's doing well he's playing juniors hockey. I asked him a few questions and looked at his face book to write this blog. Here's what I found out: His birthday is July 21st. He went to Kent's Hill high school. He played football, hockey and LAX! He said had he gone to college he would have majored in Psychology which is funny cause I was insterested in psychology at some point. He likes rap and rock. His favorite movies are blind side and the hangover. As you can see so far he's a typical boy. As I can figure from his pictures he was the homecoming king or prom king and he enjoys being out on the water. He says he looks up to Carey Price who is the goalie for the Montreal Canadiens and is only a year younger than me. Austin had this to say about his hero: "price is a battler that never gives up. he was a backing goalie last year and battled through that to become a great starter this year." Awesome. He's not all about hockey though he's also a Falcons fan and his favorite falcon is michael Turner. I'll have some more from the teenager including why he likes Michael Turner and his favorite moment from high school.

Awkward save or Awesome save?

Zach is head over heals for goal

Heart Warming

I was wanting something to make me smile after some drama unfolded early last night. Well leave it to this picture of Zach playing with a kid to do the trick. My boys do a lot with kids including hosting an event at Phillips arena for kids from different non profit organizations to come play with them and it's a sweet event. In some of the pictures 1 or 2 of the guys look a little uneasy but not good ole Bogie cause let's face it Bogie is still a kid at 20! A lot of the guys are parents so of course they would be comfortable with kids. Zach can pretty much keep up with the kids and I bet after a while it was just a game of seeing who will have problems keep up, Zach or the kids, and I also wanna bet that the kids and the guys all had no problems getting to sleep that night. Good ole thrash and some of the staff even got into the event. My Boys also visited kids at  Children's  health care in Atlanta. There was some sweet pictures from that as well so check out the thrashers website for those!

Pair of Thrashers highlight NHL's 'Three Stars' By Sports Network - The Sports Network

Atlanta goaltender Ondrej Pavelec, Thrashers defenseman Dustin Byfuglien and Pittsburgh Penguins captain Sidney Crosby have been named the NHL's 'Three Stars' for the week ending November 28.
Pavelec took First Star honors by leading his club to three consecutive home victories over the course of the week against Detroit, Montreal and Boston, during which he turned aside 97-of-99 shots.
The 23-year-old allowed a goal each to the Red Wings and Bruins, then stopped all 25 shots he faced in a 3-0 whitewash of the Canadiens last Friday -- his second shutout of the season. Byfuglien, who had been converted from forward to defenseman upon his acquisition from Stanley Cup champion Chicago, was awarded the Second Star after he posted two goals and four assists in three games. His best performance of the week came in a 4-1 win over Boston on Sunday, where the Minnesota native figured in all Atlanta tallies with a goal and three assists. Taking the Third Star was Crosby, who recorded seven points (4G, 3A) in four games. In a 4-1 decision over Calgary on Saturday, the 23-year-old registered his sixth career hat trick and also reached the 200-goal plateau for his career.

Freeman's Christian award

So this is a picture I snagged from Mr. Freddie Freeman himself! It's a picture that makes me wanna be more of a witness to others. You see Freddie is a professional baseball player and you know how guys can be in the locker room and now they can be worse than in high school. So I give Freddie HUGE credit and "props" for being a good witness and even encouraging me! So Freeto, keep on doing your thing!

Faniq

Hey guys! I know I don't usually plug other sites but this one is worth plugging, it's called faniq. Faniq is a site built for sports fans and it's kinda like a face book for them. I'm on there now voting on who I think will win certain games and taking quizzes. So here's the link:

Junior Hockey blog delay

I'm putting off the juniors blogs until I get to be on face book without having to use tricks and having 20 people coming to me asking "Hey you are face book? How did you do that?" I'm doing that for obvious reasons and the fact that I need to take my time with that.I need to get on face book to do these blogs because I wanna do these blogs because I wanna do one on my buddy Austin Keiser. But anyway I just wanted to let you know why there was a delay.

Game time!!

Last time I went to a Thrasher's game it was the 8 to 1 loss to the Capitals and I was just so mad! This time it's going to be a December game against the NJ Devils and I'm very hopeful for my boys. I love my boys so very much there are a few things though that make this time different. For one Kaptian Kovy will be just Kovy and will be playing against the thrashers instead of FOR the Thrashers. Also Moose will be sporting a different uniform as he will be taking on his team. I like our chances. Also different there's new players and new coaches and new front office staff. I will be sitting in a different section but still be rocking my Bogosian jersey. In all this madness I remember something Kovy was our prized Russian back in the day and now we only have one Russian and you'd think he'd be our prized Russian by fault when in reality he's earned that title. So with the new Russian facing our old Russian it's going to be fun to watch. Also what will be fun to watch will be how our old Russian will handle playing against guys who won the Stanley cup which he so desperately wanted last year! That's right some of our players who have been so red hot for us took the cup out of Kovy's greedy Russian hands. So beware Kovy!

So The idiot does realize it

So I was watching a Thrashers game on TV and who should be interviewed but the devil himself Don Waddell I know that was harsh but Don has let players go with out much of a reason like Boris Valabik and Colby Armstrong! Also whatever happened to Maxim? I know we had some problems winning but dang did everyone have to leave? I know we have solid players now but Boris, Colby and Maxim were pretty solid and did everything asked of them. Boris said it himself that he respected Don but Don obviously didn't want Boris around. So Don was talking about some crap about he didn't know why the fans were leaving well Don you trade good players AND we were losing a lot! DUH! YOU IDIOT!  Don you want my respect back? stop getting rid of solid players if you change a team so much the boys will have to continuely learn how to player together! God he makes me mad!

Star Player: dustin byfuglien

Again I apologize to these boys I've been delayed in honoring them because of the Scheduled star players these new ones are being pushed back but I'm so excited about this one! Big Buff was a Chicago Blackhawk and actually won the Stanley cup! I hope he has brought some of that luck with him! We need it and buff actually brought some of his Stanley cup winning team mates with him. I wanted to honor big buff for something awesome he did on October 29th. In that game he was playing with the thrashers and we actually went into overtime thanks to a last second goal by the sabres thank the LORD St. Stanley smiled on buff that day and in OT he scored a goal making it 4-3! Nice Job BIG BUFF!! Good luck on the rest of the season!!

Juniors Hockey

I know I've told you about my friend Austin Carty but now I'll tell you about my friend Austin Keiser. I know I posted this picture before but I didn't really explain who it was when I first posted it. My friend Amanda took this photo at camp, among others. The reason I mention Austin now is that I realized I give shout outs to hockey players on all levels, expect juniors. Juniors isn't considered professional except in Canada but I wanted to honor some of these youngsters because they're hopefully on their way to being the next Ilya Kovalchuck or Zach Bogosian or whoever. So I'll start talking to people in the Junior hockey circles and see who the shinning stars are that I can feature on here and hopefully maybe you'll see them playing in the NHL or AHL someday!

Peter Budaj

What is to be said about a Slovakian goalie by a girl who's part Slovakian and dreams of being a goalie? Peter is  handsome and awesome! So I decide to find out as much as I possibly could about this boy. So I found out that he was born on September 18, 1982 in Banská Bystrica, Slovakia. He also shares another strong tie with me besides our heritage we share our Christian faith. He just keeps getting better and better! Peter is a part of the hockey ministries international but because of his busy schedule can't be a part of it as much as he's like. Peter was drafted in 2001 by the Avalanche as the 1st round pick (63 over all). He also played for the the Hershey Bears of the  AHL and the Toronto St. Michael's Majors of the OHL.
His first NHL season was in 2005–06 but his first NHL playoff appearances came in the 2008 Stanley Cup Playoffs in relief of Théodore in Colorado's second round matchup against the Detriot red wings who eventually won it all.
In the 2008-2009 season, Budaj was named the starting goalie for the Colorado Avalanche for the first time. He and backup goaltender Andrew Raycroft struggled throughout the season as the Avalanche finished last in the Western Conference, missing the playoffs for the second time in last three seasons. On June 29, 2009, he was re-signed by the Avalanche to a one-year contract for the 2009-2010 season. He started the season playing as the Avalanche backup goalie to Craig Anderson. Before his first appearance in net, Budaj was diagnosed with the H1N1  virus (Swine Flu) and was completely isolated from the rest of the team until he was cleared to play by the coaching staff. Budaj finally made his first appearance of the season on November 4. He stopped 28 of 29 shots and backstopped the Avs to a 4-1 victory, not bad for a guy who just had the pig flu. Budaj made his second post season appearance on April 22, 2010 against the Sharks, when he relieved Craig Anderson in the 1st period. The Sharks won the game with one goal scored against Peter. One of the things that I also learned about Peter is that he's married with a kid, Peter Jr. He hadn't been married but a year when the baby came and he has such an awesome attitude about the baby he says it's something that is humbling and he thanks God for it everyday. He is just so awesome. If you want more info on him please read this article http://www.denverpost.com/avalanche/ci_16560348 and view his stats at http://sports.espn.go.com/nhl/players/profile?playerId=1511.

Thanksgiving day with bogi: Epic Fail!

I had a great time with my family on Thanksgiving and the day before thanksgiving. One thing did kinda put a damper on the morning and that was the fact that mom and I were going to meet aunt patty at the ice forum to see the thrashers practice but little did we know the jerks in the front office failed to give fans much notice of the change of time! A practice that was going to start at noon started at 11am and what time did they announce it? 10:30 am that morning, I know right? Gaw I was SO mad! The one good thing is I got to see some of my boys as they left in their very awesome cars and got to see Kaner's daddy for the 1st time. A lot of them drove escalades (Including big buff and Kaner) all I could think is did they get a team discount? But then good Ole Boulton rolled up in a truck with a leopard print car seat in the back seat! Oh it was so funny! So the next day I slept and did a little shopping and worked out. The real fun came Saturday when I had a girl's day out with mom. We started off at thrashers practice which we actually got to see this time. Practice was normal except me and mom stood just on the other side of bogie for some of it. Then we stood out side to see the boys (and their cars). I saw something that out did the caddies and that was my boy Ondrej pulling up in a wicked 2011 Porsche wearing an Atlanta braves hat, oh it was love! I looked back at mama and said "Mom look! Look at Pav's car!!!!" She looks and just kinda nods saying "well he can afford it!" She doesn't want to be a goalies mom why? Ondrej is pulling out in a Porsche! Seriously you stand in goal and face 40-50 shots a night and roll of in a ride like that? DUDE! I went up to say hey and I was so surprised I didn't blurt out something stupid seeing as how I was smitten with the boy and his car. I said "Hey Ondrej!" He looks up quick and smiles saying "Hey how are you?" I smiled and said "Good you?" He kept signing like it was no big deal that a dozen people were around this beautiful car and of course he said "Fine thank you" he looks at me like he knew I was going to say something more, he was right. "Ondrej?" ~~~~"Yeah?"~~~~"After what happened opening night I've been praying for you" He smiles "oh thank you! keep it up!" Smiled and said "see you later" and giggled as I headed to mom so surprised he didn't call me out on being a girl about it! So the fun continued as I got annoyed with waiting for Burmi and went to my gym as mom went shopping. Then we went to get some stuff for me to take back to job Corps and get pics developed and headed to the glads game.As soon as I walked in to the game I saw mama Linda and went running over to her. When she saw me she freaked out and hugged me and I could tell she wanted me home and NOW! We got a picture together later that night. I got to the seats and I headed down to the glass for warm ups. I needed to see Michael and I needed for Michael to see me. When he did see me he looked so happy, he had a HUGE smile on his face. I placed my hand to the glass and he put his hand to the glass in front of  the glass in front of my hand. I laughed, of course leave it to us to have a dork moment. I got back to my seat and I couldn't stop smiling. My mom knew something was up and so she asked, "Did he see you?" ~~~ "yeah of course totally dorked it out though." The game was good we won! I was happy and the one boy coach said was hard nose scored a couple of goals and I was impressed. After the game I went to see Andy Brandt and Tim Miller and got my picture taken with Miller he's so awesome missed that kid! He's one of my favorite and I got to see him a lot last season. Sadly seeing him, Michael, mama linda and my family made me wanna stay!

What My grandpa passed down to me

My Grandpa loves the braves and so growing up I was raised in a family of braves fans. I became one at some point and my 1st favorite player was Chipper Jones and my grandpa actually started to call me chipper. I'm currently working on a profile post about chipper. I never really liked being called chipper because I didn't know what it meant or why he called me that. I then discovered why. He was calling me it because he may have saw a lot of him in me which could be a good thing or a bad thing, Chipper continues to be my nickname and my favorite player. I'm still grandpa's little girl!

Star player: Alex Burmistrov

Well this is a 1st! Lil' baby Burmi is a rookie and has had 2 star player blogs! heck I don't think any player has had 2! Because of me figure out people way before hand these honors have been delayed! I've been honoring people weeks after they deserve it sometimes monthes so I'm glad I may be catching up here soon. But any way on october 29 baby burmi scored his 1st goal in the NHL! I was in tears watching on TV as baby had the sweetest expression on his face. Chris Thorburn hugged him and you could just tell that Chris was just as proud as everyone who had wittnessed that goal. He even got a standing O so I'm honored to honor this young man as star player!!

American

The last post made me think about this song by Dave Matthews band, for whatever reason. But so yeah enjoy!
American Baby

If these walls came crumblin' down
Fell so hard, to make us lose our faith
From what's left you'd figure it out
Still make lemonade taste like a sunny day

Stay, beautiful baby
I hope you
Stay, American baby
American baby

Nobody's laughing now
God's grace lost and the devil is proud
But I've been walking for a thousand miles
One last time, I could see you smile

I (I) hold (hold) on (on) to you
You bring me hope, I'll see you soon
And if I don't see you
I'm afraid we've lost the way

Stay, beautiful baby
I hope you
Stay, American baby
American baby

I (I) hold (hold) on (on) to you
You lift me up and always will
I see you in life
Hope I don't get left behind

I (I) hold (hold) on (on) to you
You bring me hope, I'll see you soon
And if I don't see you
I'm afraid we've lost the way

Stay, beautiful baby
I hope you
Stay, American baby
I hope you
Stay, beautiful baby
I hope you
Stay, American baby
American baby
Nobody's laughing now
But you could always make me laugh out loud

Drawing Inspiration from a friend

My friend Austin Carty blogs and he often talks about his grandpa. We have something in common, our Grandpas meant something to us but Austin knew both of his Grandpas, I knew only one of mine. But that's ok My grandpa means the world to me, I'm his little girl and he treats me like a princess! I'm his 1st granddaughter so I get anything I ask, I have him wrapped around my finger! So I was looking at Austin's blog and noticed he posted something about his hero and I figure I should start writing about people who meant something to me or the people I look up to. I'll start that soon Y'all. I already wrote about coach Godfree and Jim Craig but more will follow.

My message to boris

Uvedomil som si, čo som povedal a zavesil hlavou. Rachel trela chrbát a povedal: "Bo-bo pravdepodobne chýbať too. What je niečo roztomilý urobil?" Boris mal slovenskú náladu, takže keď som mu úsmev to robilo mi to radosť." Rachel mi dal "Chudáčik" vzhľad. Chýba mi váš úsmev a štýl hrania, ale sme všetci dúfať, že Don a Rick prísť k rozumu a tam vidieť to, čo pustiť! Zostať silné a môžeme čoskoro sa uvidíme! We need more Slovaks in Georgia so come back soon
 Vo viere,Christina

What's wrong? Well I'll tell you

Every game day I'm happy then I look at my MA notebook and see Boris' Smiling face and I become saddened by the fact that while I get to see Zach Bogosian play, Boris won't be there to start a fight. I miss Boris terribly when I went to see him one time we had a few people laughing. I was standing by Boris and we were both moving our nose like they were itchy then when Boris was done talking to the other fan I tugged at his jersey "Bo-Bo?" He looks and smiles "hi little one how are you?" I smiled I loved being his little one it made me feel special and loved. He did have a good attitude about being on waivers though here's what he told the AJC:

“I have been preparing for the last month or so,” Valabik told the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. "Professionally, I know it’s part of the game. It’s also tough knowing that people I respect, the coaches, [GM] Rick Dudley, didn’t think I could play there. Whatever happens, happens. If some team picks me up, I will look forward to a second chance. I feel like I owe a lot to Atlanta for drafting me. I had hoped to win a Stanley Cup here. There were 24 guys on the roster and they could only have 23. I would like to get picked up because that means somebody wants you,I hope a lot of people realize that I’m still young and I can  play. … If no team claims me I will go to Chicago and work on my game. I have some work to do, but mostly I need to play. For me, it’s more about getting the chance to play and building my confidence. The mental part of the game is so huge for me. I know when I’m on top of my game I can be very successful.”

Thankfully he's playing with the wolves but I still miss him. It breaks my heart to read his statement and see lines like "I'm still young and I can play......The people I RESPECTED didn't think I could play there." The people he respected didn't want him how heart breaking is that. Rick and Don I hope you jerks are happy!! You just lost respect from me and what is looks like is that you just lost respect from Boris!  To Boris I hope you score some goals to show them what they let go!!

Johnny weir too girly?

I love watching figure skating but there was something or actually someone who bothered me! His name? Johnny weir. Yes the feminine Johnny Weir. To be fair he is in a sport traditionally seen as a "girl sport" but there is a good amount of class and femininity that a guy can have with out being Johnny Weir!! Who did I cheer for? Evan Lysacek! Of course! He's talented, cute, charming and not creepy feminine like Johnny. And may we not forget that Evan won the gold against a Russian then had to dance with one at dancing with the stars!! So is Johnny too girly? You tell me I think he is.

Writting

Sorry I haven't been writing a lot of news or writing once a week or once every so often I have a few things coming up and I'm re inviting a few friends to write some stuff on here and if you want to see someone or something featured let me know. My audience is also starting to dwindle which makes me sad! Come back guys it'll get better

Sidney VS Bogi

If you've been a long time reader to my blog, bless your heart and thank you, you know that I love my thrashers and Zach Bogosian. You also know that I like Sidney Crosby of the Pittsburgh Penguins. This a problem because tonight I'll be watching the pens take on my thrashers the problem is who do I cheer for?? Well I'm looking at  talent, attitude and how the treat fans. That's just during or before the game but after I can be happy for whoever wins but let's look what I'm looking at before and during the game. Let's start with talent, I haven't watched a whole lot of games for Sidney but I have watched a lot of thrasher hockey. I think by the numbers Sid out shoots bogi by a long shot. So in talent they're equal but in shooting sid wins. Attitude on the other hand bogi wins! Zach is much less of the crying/complaining type and Sid hits hard then cries when he gets hard! makes no sense!! But sid is really good with fans and his team mates but so is bogi. So in all reality it's a tie!! so I have son clue who I'll root for I think I'll just be happy to watch the game!

That goal!

Well while Alex Burmistrov was off scoring his 2nd goal I was still amazed by his 1st goal! I watched it so many times and I think I know it inside and out!! I'm so proud of this young man and I wish so bad I was there to see it in person! I will come home for thanksgiving and I'll be able to see that sweet smile. That's another thing that makes these goals by all these youngsters so sweet is that their smiles say it all they tell the whole truth and their expressions are honest and are so precious and joyful. The expressions are worth their weight in pure gold and are worth all the hard work these kids put into their game. I love Alex's little smile and hope to see it more often

Don't let the jersey number fool you he's number one in my heart

Now Matt Ryan is the starting quarterback for the Falcons and wears #2 but even though I hadn't really watched the games this season he's the #1 quarterback in my heart! Matty seems like such a sweet guy from day one I liked his attitude better than Michael Vick's even though Michael is very talented. Matt is the baby faced 6 foot 4 224 pound quarterback who was born on May 17, 1985 in Exton, Pennsylvania. Before Boston college he
attended the William Penn Charter School in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, where he was a three-year starter for coach Brian McCloskey, earned All-East honors from Larunt Lemming Prep Football Report and captured All-Southeastern Pennsylvania accolades as a senior quarterback in addition to receiving All-City first-team honors in 2002 and second-team recognition in 2001.  A three-time All-League selection, he threw for more than 1,300 yards with 9 touchdowns as a senior, finishing his career by completing more than 52 percent of his pass attempts during all three seasons at the helm.He also played basketball and baseball while in high school and was named captain of all three teams his senior year. He was quarterback of the football team in 2002, played small forward on the basketball team, and was a pitcher and a shortstop on the baseball team.He was Boston College's starter from 2005 to 2007, leading them to three bowl victories and a 25-7 record in 32 starts. He  is fifth all-time in school history in passing yards and in pass completions. He also earned MVP honors at the 2005 MPC Computers Bowl and in 2007, Matty led his team to an ACC Atlantic Division championship and was named ACC Player of the Year. But in the 2004 season he  was named backup due to an injury to Quinton Porter and saw his first action on October 2, 2004 against the UMass Minutemen. Matt was also a good student, being  awarded the 2004 Freshman Male Scholar-Athlete award that same year.
For college stats please visit http://collegefootball.rivals.com/cviewplayer.asp?Player=1102  Matt was drafted third overall by the Atlanta Falcons in the 2008 NFL Draft and he was the second first-round pick of the draft to sign when he agreed to a six-year contract on May 20. The contract had an overall value of $72 million and contained $34.75 million in guaranteed money. The contract made him the 4th highest paid quarterback in the NFL behind Peyton Manning, Ben Roethlisberger, and Carson Palmer, despite never having played a professional game.Matt also signed endorsement deals with Nike and AirTran. He entered the 2008 season competing against former starter Chris Redman for the Falcons' starting quarterback position. On August 24, Ryan was named the starting quarterback for the September 7 regular season opener against the Detroit Lions becoming the first rookie quarterback to start a season for the Falcons since Steve Bartkowski in 1975. On October 30, Ryan was honored as the NFC Rookie of the Month for October following an impressive string of games in which he led the Falcons to a 2–1 record. Ryan became the first player in Atlanta Falcons franchise history to be awarded this honor. In week 8 against the Oakland Raiders, Ryan finished with the highest completion percentage of his career (77.3).In his rookie season Matt lead the Falcons to their first playoff berth since 2004. On December 31, Matt was named the AP NFL Rookie of the Year and was voted by his teammates as Offensive Captain alongside Todd McClure at the end of the 2008 Season. He was first on the depth chart and was the Falcons starting quarterback for the second consecutive season. For professional up to the date stats please visit   http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/players/profile?playerId=11237     Matt created an activity named "Folleyball" for NFL Play 60 at NFL Rush.com and is also an avid golfer and has participated in such tournaments as the American Century Celebrity Golf Championship, including Augusta National Golf Club. Matty  is also part of the Falcons online reading program “Read with a Falcon”. Best of luck Matty

Retro bio:buzz schneider

Buzz had the unique honor 20 years after the miracle on ice to be played by his son Billy in the Disney film Miracle. But this blog is not about Buzz's son it's about the man and his story that his son protrayed 20 years later. Finding pictures of this guy was harder than finding info on him. It's kinda weird but what is important is what brought Buzz to that moment? What has he done after that day? Well William "Buzz" Schneider was born on September 14, 1954 in Grand Rapids, Minnesota but grew up in  Babbitt, Minnesota. He played hockey, baseball and football. He went to the University of Minnesota where he played for Herb Brooks and won the1974 NCAA hockey championship. He later was drafted
98th overall in the 1974 NHL Entry Draft by the Pittsburgh Penguins and no. 73 overall in the 1974 WHA draft by the Minnesota Fighting Saints. Buzz played for the United States National Team in 1974-76 as well as being a member of the US team at the 1974, 1975 and 1976 Ice Hockey World Championship tournaments as well as the 1976 Olympic team. He turned pro after the 1974-76 National team. He played in a variety of minor leagues before playing four games for the Birmingham Bulls of the WHA during the 1976-77 season. After the end of the WHA season, he returned to play for the US national team at the 1977 Ice Hockey World Championship tournament in Vienna. Schneider returned to the minor leagues in 1977-78. He played two seasons in the International Hockey League before regaining his amateur status to play in the 1980 Olympics.During the 1979-80 season, the left wing played 62 games for the National team scoring 27 goals. During the  run in the Olympics, he scored five goals and  three assists in seven games going for that miracle and the gold medal. Schneider played on the Olympic team's top-scoring Iron Rangers or Conehead line with John Harrington and Mark Pavelich. After the Olympics he played in Bern, Switzerland until 1983. Schneider returned to the US national hockey team for the 1982 Ice Hockey World Championship tournament in Helsinki. He retired from hockey in 1983 and went back to Minneapolis  where he worked as a sales executive for a semi-trailer company.  In 2001 he quit his job to gain a commercial real estate license.Buzz was inducted into the United States Hockey Hall of Fame in 2003 as member of the 1980 Olympic team.He is now the coordinator of the Turkey men's national ice hockey team. In the 1981 TV movie about the 1980 U.S. hockey team called Miracle on Ice, Schneider is played by Jonathan Sagall. Buzz's son Billy portrayed him in the 2004 Disney movie Miracle. On the DVD of the 2004 film the director said he asked Billy if he was related to Buzz after he saw Billy's last name and billy just said "Yeah he's my dad" like it was no big deal. I wish Buzz good luck with everything and I hope and look for Billy's movie return.

Aww so sweet

The russian Factor

Reason 1 to hate Matt Cooke

Sidney, funny

Star Player: Lubos Bartecko

Lubos doesn't play in America any more but he deserves to be honored and it was something that I was made aware of only recently even though the reason I'm honoring happened at the Olympics in Vancouver earlier this year. Lubos was playing for Slovakia in the Olympics when Ole Kristian Tollefsen from Norway knocked Lubos to the ice. The situation was made worse when his helmet exposed more of his head (probably caused by a second hit). Lubos ended up getting a concussion and bleeding from the back of the head. But as I learned this past hockey season Slovakian hockey players are tough as nails and hard headed so Lubos was fine and I think went back to play over seas in a Swedish League. So good luck Lubos
