Never Fails

The most important thing in my life right under God and my family is my friends this includes Michael Forney! Michael is awesome. He always makes me smile and laugh and a few tears have been shead (mainly happy). I love Michael, he's my "hockey brother". The reason it works is because I can open up to him and tell him to cut the crap! We're both dorks and he's so sweet that even my grandma likes him! Sometimes I give him the "Really? come on really?" look. But I wanted to thank him for particular thing. I'm looking into being a swim team and I asked him to sit in my family section in case my family couldn't and he said he would so thanks michael! You're getting a wet hug!!

Star Player: Pat Galivan

I wanted honor Patrick galivan for scoring a hat trick recently! I believe this was his first. Sadly because of job corps I missed it! I adore Pat he was so sweet to me last season and he totally called it when he said that he didn't know if he'd see me this season when I thought I'd see him, he was one of our best players why not? What I forgot in that moment was that he had spent time with the wolves last season, I forgot if he spent any time there this season. I didn't get to see him this season as he predicted because of Job Corps. Pat is a good guy whom I enjoyed getting to see play and getting to talk to last season. He's a talented player scoring 7 goals and 22 assists this season. I can't say a whole lot about Pat . So congrats Pat on the hat trick Good luck with the rest of the season.

What the crap Coach??

It's no secret that I liked Sulli (Dan Sullivan) and Sean "Hur" Hurley. Well when I went off to Job Corps I was thinking "Oh everything will be fine, coach won't let Sulli or Hur go." I was wrong I just didn't know it yet. A few weeks later sulli was gone and I couldn't find Hurley's name on the roster when I asked coach about Hur all he said was that he was gone it was like "Well no duh! I knew that!!" So there wasn't many answers or much explanation on what went on and where they went, I later asked Hurley where he went and he said Texas. I'm not sure where Dan went and that makes me sad. I so wish I could have seen them and talk to them one more time before either of them left or before I left for Job corps. This is one of those moments where I wonder what goes on in a coach's mind. They let guys go who are good players and good guys! I just don't understand. Coach Pyle said nothing bad about either guy so it makes you wonder why he would let someone who he liked so much go. Wouldn't you keep the guys you like and get rid of guys you weren't sure of or that didn't do good? I'll keep y'all updated on stuff.

Goalie love

There's something about truly great goalies that makes me excited about hockey. I have no
clue what it is though maybe it's the fact that I want to be a goalie, have not a clue! They wear the most gear but they have the most amazing demeanor about them! They can either psycho temper guy or sweet mellow dude! I'm  at a loss for words when it comes to my "goalie love". It really started last season too. When I said "really started" I mean yeah the 1st hockey player I really liked was a goalie for the Gwinnett Gladiators but since then I liked people like Zach Bogosian and Sidney Crosby but last season something snapped and I liked the goalies! Now that I want to be a goalie I watch their movements and I'm just in awe of them. Their movements can either be smooth and poetic or Crazy and manic. It all depends on the person and the situation, although some people are always manic. There's also been times when you see the goalies just fall on their backs into the goal. I never in a million years thought that I'd like hockey then when I did I fell hard for the sport and now I fell hard for the position of goalie. Later I'll write about the history of the position and some of the gear.

What's wrong with people?

I'm really sensitive when people talk bad about Kyle. People had a lot to talk about when Kyle decided that he wanted to fight in a mixed martial arts (MMA) fight. I was watching the ESPN documentary "A fighting chance" about the events and day to day stuff leading up to the fight but had to stop several times because of what people said about the fight. People can be so mean when they don't understand something or someone. People kept calling it a freak show and I would just get so mad. Then the kicker was that some guy said  (among other stuff) "He's a drama whore so why don't y'all give me a chain saw and I'll get some attention too" idiots! Even Kyle's sister Amber had an issue with that one. People are so stupid! Then the commission in Georgia asked him a question that shouldn't have been asked. They asked Kyle to raise his arms like he would do if he was to protect his head from hits so he did. He didn't extend them as far as he could so they said that he couldn't fight but he wasn't allowed to get hit in the head since he's low to the ground. People are so unfair to that which they don't understand. Kyle is the most loving person in the world! let him live his life as he chooses! you go to Youtube and you'll see a lot of people saying "He can't do that!" or "why does he want to do this so bad? he just can't!"  As his sister says:
"he never stops trying, it's sometimes annoying but we are so proud of Him!"

Wow hot bad boy!

I love nothing more than a bad boy who is easy on the eyes! Ladies and gents I give you Dannick Paquette!

my Glads are fiesty!!

I saw my glads 2 times this week and I've seen them 3 times  this season! The one thing I noticed is that we have a 20 year old brunette version of Tim Miller on our hands and his name is Danick Paquette. He is a feisty little thing and kinda cute! Tim of course is the bad boy Blondie who's missing a tooth or 2, he also played for the glads last season as well, I'll write more about miller later! So I went to 2 games the week of new years day. The first one was on Wednesday and it was awesome I got to sit behind the bench! As soon as the boys who knew me saw me they smiled! It was awesome!  Then coach Came out for the actual game and he turns and sees me. He proceeded to mouth "hey Christine how are you?" I just smiled and gave him a thumbs up. I kinda feel like I'm coach's girl, like his little buddy or something. If I could I'd like to chase a rabbit! I've been compared to the little white girl on "Remember the titans" and so it's just weird that I've been called coach's little girl by people in the hockey community. The game was insane!!! Coach kept slamming himself up against the boards whenever they would mess up and it scared me at 1st but then I got use to the noise. It was one of the games where you are hopeful then you get discouraged then you pray and then finally hope is restored! They played sloppy hockey thinking that they would be OK and get lucky and boy did they ever. The nailers got on the board first in the 1st and then my boys knew they had to something so they left it up to Tom Zanoski to assist Dan Kissel and Aaron Bendickson to tie it up. I love close games and I was hoping that it wouldn't stay close for long. In the last few seconds of the 1st period the nailers scored again!  "What the crap?" I fussed. The second was hatefully I sat there and prayed through most of it. Until 30 seconds left in the period and Drew Paris scores a goal! I was so happy! The glads continued to make me happy in the third with 3 more goals making it 5-2, a very awesome glads win. The bad thing is that I was scared by coach slamming himself into the wall and Danick Got sucker punched in the face. Then the next game I went to was on New years eve, Friday. It was the same kind of game except I was sitting behind the wrong bench and we lost. It was a feisty game and insane with me praying hard for us to win!! That pray would go unanswered. The Nailers scored 1st again but then Forney and Miller connected and scored a goal! This game was so feisty with poor Danick getting into 2 fights in the 3rd and Tim leading the 3rd period fight a poolaza off! My boys ended up losing 4-1. It wasn't much off a game though with the stupid refs being well stupid! Gaw! Hate losing!

Star player: Danick Paqquette

Yes you can be honored for being a complete bad ass or at least Danick Paquette can. I mean come on look at him! I know he hardly looks like the type to get any kind of trouble but he is! In one game I went to he got into at least 2 fights. It's insane how good and feisty he is. I have hand it to him he didn't WANT to get into a fight when I saw him, it just happened! He was being good surrounding the face off circle but then Haddad elbow nudged him trying to start something and he ignored it finally Danick raised up and was like "What the heck?" The refs fussed but finally Paqquette got into a fight skates away from that one and gets into another one and is showed the door! God I love this kid! Good luck Danick with the rest of the season

To Johny Weir I'm truly sorry

I wanted to apologize to those who were and are offended by my comments about Johnny Weir. I know he's a world class skater and all that crap but what I wrote was just an observation of how Johnny Weir is more flamboyant than people like Evan and that at times bugs me. I do love gays and think gay guys are awesome however there are gays that do stuff that I'm like "Really? did you have to do that? Really?" But no one is perfect! He was just more gay than I was use to and I'm really trying hard to get use to him. So to whoever was offended I'm sorry! And to Johnny I'm sorry and good luck with all you do!

star player: Ondrej

Things have been looking for Ondrej since his opening night fainting spell no one knows what caused still. But this post is not about that it's about the amazing job he has done since he came back. This is the second time I've honored ondrej but with all he's been through and how well he's doing he deserves it. He's had 2 shut outs this season and I'm very proud to say I got to watch one of them on TV and it was a thing of beauty. Since the fainting spell he played in 16 games winning 8 of them and I can only say that he has been very close to his old self of course it's been taking time for him to get back in to his own rhythem but he's getting there and I'm so proud of him! Congrats Ondrej on a job well done and welcome back to the net, we've missed you!

a thrashers' win!!!

Ok so let's face it, I had every right not to go to another thrasher's game for as long as I lived but thanks to my Aunt Patty I went to another one! Let's say the evening was insane! Let's get not so good thing #1 out the way and say that I over slept to the point where I could get ready enough to go but not to where I could get some stuff together to spend the night at Aunt Patty's house. So when I got ready I went out and got into my car and when I cranked it, nothing! That's not so good thing #2! So far it was looking like another bad thrasher day! I finally got to my Aunt's house and I was soooo ready to get the night over with! So we got into the car and headed to Phillips. I'll spare you the details of how it was rainy and how my aunt and cousin fought on the way down there (not so good thing #3). When we finally go parked we headed into the CNN part of the big center that holds restaurants, stores and the entrance to Phillips. I was like about to bounce out of my skin I was ready just to get into Phillips and see my boys! We went to a Mexican restaurant called Daun Juan's. It was good but I was still developing my real world "it's ok to eat more" stomach! Believe me job corps food is the kind of food where some of it is ok but the rest is the type you just eat a little bit. Anyway after we paid and left we headed into the Phillips arena! once inside I saw Don Waddell and it took all I had not to tackle him and beat him up but I didn't and  we got to our seats with out problems and I scooched down to the glass, I think I was made for hockey arenas except for the fact I went behind the wrong bench (OOOPS!). I still got some pictures that I'll post later. I was just chillin' when I spotted Zach Bogosian (reason #1 I like the thrashers) and instantly wanted him to see my jersey and I think he did! As I looked out over the devils I saw Moose! Moose use to be a Thrasher as did Anssi Samela and Ilya Kovalchuck. After warmups I went up to my seat, how I wanted to stay down there, The game was awesome they got up by like 3 in the 1st period. this was my 1st time seeing alot of the boys play in a live game so it was exciting. the 2nd period wasn't too special except for a fight and when the 2 bad boys came out of "time out"  they attempted to go after  each  other again! The big story came in the 3rd when my boys were up 5 to 1 Eric boulton scored a hat trick. so all in all it was a good night and we won 7 to 1!!
