HMMMM
I'm very protective of the people I pray for through my ministry, mainly Zach if I hear about a problem he's been having I would go to him and ask. Now I can't go and ask. So this caused me to have a little concern about the situation I left Zach in when I found an article about him called "Zach Bogosian's growth comes with pain". In it they talk about Zach's development in the game he loves so much. It also mentions that the GM (Rick Dudley) had been getting calls about Zach from other GMs but here's what he says about the situation:"I tell them, I'm not offering him up if that's what you're calling about. But if you want to make an offer go ahead." He better not sell my boy!! That was concern #1 concern #2 was his relationship with John Torchetti, one of the assistant coaches. Coach Ramsey said there was problems and that sorta thing but here's an excerpt from the article:
Head coach Craig Ramsay acknowledged Wednesday there have been issues with Bogosian's learning curve under a new coaching staff. And there has been some conflict with assistant coach John Torchetti, who deals with the team's defensemen.
"I don't think that John is mean to him. I don't think he's overly vocal with him. I think John is just trying to do what he thinks is best for Zach and for everyone," Ramsay said.
"I trust John to pass on the appropriate information in the appropriate way. I think misunderstandings occurred that have been dealt with and I see nothing but good things," the coach said.
For his part, Bogosian didn't have much to say about his relationship with Torchetti, who joined Ramsay's staff this past offseason after being behind the bench with the Stanley Cup-winning Chicago Blackhawks last year.
"It's between me and him," Bogosian told ESPN.com this week.
"It's not a huge deal where I'm losing any sleep over it," he added.
Bogosian, big, strong and fleet of foot, admitted this season has been trying.
"It has been an up-and-down year for me," he said.
Bogosian has been forced to take on a different role with the emergence of Tobias Enstrom and Dustin Byfuglien as elite power-play performers.
Byfuglien and Enstrom are first and second in team scoring with a combined 83 points and, when healthy, dominate the power-play time allotted by the Thrashers' coaching staff.
For a guy who's used to being one of the best players on any team on which he's played, that dynamic has been sobering for Bogosian.
With Enstrom out with a broken finger, Bogosian has been asked to do more and he has responded, Ramsay said.
In the team's last game, a loss to Toronto, Ramsay said he thought Bogosian looked as good as he has all year.
"I think he understands, I hope he understands, I believe he understands that we're only here to make him better. That's our only thought. We don't show him mistakes because we want him to be a bad player. We want him to understand how small the differences can be that would prevent those errors and would allow him to have some fun," Ramsay said.
I've never noticed an issue it looked to me like my sweet boy and our awesome coaches got along great, Torchetti even playfully man handled Zach both of course laughing. So the whole thing confused me but I'll respect Zach's wishes and let him be the adult and handle it.

The Heart break is over
It seems like ever since I became Zach's prayer partner I've never seen one of his goals and that kinda broke my heart a little bit, you know? I just really wanted to see one so on Feb. 5 I finally saw one of his goals when the little snot forced the game into over time! I freaked out "Atta boy!!! That's what I'm talking about Zach!!!! WAY to freaking go kid!!!" I started to tear up. One of the girls came by "aww are you ok?" I wiped a tear away "Yeah, Just saw my little prayer buddy score a goal, I'm sooo proud!" That meant a lot to me for him to score a goal I could actually watch in real time! So congrats goal scorer and over time forcer Zach bogosian

Heart Warming
I was wanting something to make me smile after some drama unfolded early last night. Well leave it to this picture of Zach playing with a kid to do the trick. My boys do a lot with kids including hosting an event at Phillips arena for kids from different non profit organizations to come play with them and it's a sweet event. In some of the pictures 1 or 2 of the guys look a little uneasy but not good ole Bogie cause let's face it Bogie is still a kid at 20! A lot of the guys are parents so of course they would be comfortable with kids. Zach can pretty much keep up with the kids and I bet after a while it was just a game of seeing who will have problems keep up, Zach or the kids, and I also wanna bet that the kids and the guys all had no problems getting to sleep that night. Good ole thrash and some of the staff even got into the event. My Boys also visited kids at Children's health care in Atlanta. There was some sweet pictures from that as well so check out the thrashers website for those!

Sidney VS Bogi
If you've been a long time reader to my blog, bless your heart and thank you, you know that I love my thrashers and Zach Bogosian. You also know that I like Sidney Crosby of the Pittsburgh Penguins. This a problem because tonight I'll be watching the pens take on my thrashers the problem is who do I cheer for?? Well I'm looking at talent, attitude and how the treat fans. That's just during or before the game but after I can be happy for whoever wins but let's look what I'm looking at before and during the game. Let's start with talent, I haven't watched a whole lot of games for Sidney but I have watched a lot of thrasher hockey. I think by the numbers Sid out shoots bogi by a long shot. So in talent they're equal but in shooting sid wins. Attitude on the other hand bogi wins! Zach is much less of the crying/complaining type and Sid hits hard then cries when he gets hard! makes no sense!! But sid is really good with fans and his team mates but so is bogi. So in all reality it's a tie!! so I have son clue who I'll root for I think I'll just be happy to watch the game!

There's a wrong way to wear a bogi jersey??
Apparently according to the baby boy there is! I got a custom black and silver Bogosian Jersey for my birthday last year and I wear it pride! Bogi loves it and likes to see me in it but the problem comes up when I turn around and my hair is hanging down on to it. He's ok with the fact that I'm a girl but he's just not use to having hair on the shoulder on his jersey so in honor of him when I pull on the jersey I pull my hair just high enough to the point where it's not touching it but just low enough to where it's cute. like today I pulled my hair into 2 rope braids and pinned the ends up so no hair was touching the jersey. Bogi that stinker!!!

Why do I read this stuff?
I always flinch whenever I read stuff about bogi getting hurt or see him fall so I have no clue why I read stories about him getting hurt! So I wasn't shocked when I flinched while reading an article I found on the thrasher website.

My Bouncing baby boy bogi-being prayed for by me

I know I post a lot about this kid but let's learn a little about him. Zach "bogi" Bogosian was our #1 draft pick last season but played with the in the OHL and with the chicago wolves for a while. He also went over to Russia to play for team USA in the world Championship. If you think that's HUGE it is but if you think he has a big ego- you'd be wrong. He's such a a goofy little boy still! Zach is so precious to me, he smiles and I just start to laugh. I actually got mistaken for his sister at practice at least once!! My little boy--my little prince bogi! Oh Lord if he
knew I called him "prince bogi"..........we'd be in trouble!! The interesting and kinda big question is what does a young guy like bogi spend his 1st year hockey cash on....a tricked out esclade and a home gym-duh!! AAAh to be young and crazy!! Love it!!

The interesting and kinda big question is what does a young guy like bogi spend his 1st year hockey cash on....a tricked out esclade and a home gym-duh!! AAAh to be young and crazy!! Love it!!Get ready to feel old and short people!! This 6 foot 2 200 pound baby was born July 15, 1990 (that's right 1990) in Massenna New york. While playing with cushing academy in 2005-2006 he scored one goal and 16 assists. I believe he played at cushing all 4 years in high school but I could find stats for only 1 year. Bogi was so good and so advance in his skills he had to play with the older kids. Then after cushing it was on to the OHL where he played for the peterbough petes for 2 years. In those 2 years he scored 18 goals and 79 assists. Then he split his time between the AHL and NHL (Chicago wolves and atlanta thrashers) in the 2008-2009 season. At the thrashers (NHL) he scored 9 goals and 10 assists. So far this season he has scored 8 goals and 3 assists. This baby is a beast! He always gets sent to the "sin pin" for fighing!! I am so happy to have this young man with our team!! Love ya Bogi I wish you nothing but success!! Oh and keep smiling baby!!

Personality Mix: Me, Sulli and Bogi

There's a reason I love my boys, their personalities. Bogi has this goofy, young pesonality. If he wasn't so busy and had time I could see us hanging out as friends. I know he's 4 years younger with a girlfriend, that's why I said friend!! He'll do something silly during practice and I'll sometimes be the only one laughing. We're just 2 big dorky goof balls!!Bogi also has a sweet and serious side.He loves people, including kids!! I always smile and stand so proud of how he handles himself, so awesome.
As I told you in a previous blog I prayed with my Gladiator prayer partner Sulli. It was a very bonding moment. On the ice Sulli is a tough guy, off the ice he's by far one of the sweetest guys ever!! We kinda have a cool yet awkward friendship- which works for us!! It's pretty awesome. I think Sulli just loves people. He's sweet, funny, and just
very easy to talk to.I can have adult conversations with Sulli, not that I can't have adult conversations with Bogi but it's just easier and I have more time with Sulli. We do have a few things in common , we both lost at least 30 pounds and we don't like scary movies!! Imagine that, a tough guy who doesn't like scary movies! I think that's kinda awesome!!I'm so excited about this partnership between me and Sulli. I'm also so glad he's becoming comfortable with me. I'm still sticking to the whole friendship thing since he's married. He's 6 years older than me so I wouldn't mind him thinking of me as a little sister. I would welcome that with open arms!!Actually to serve him better as a prayer partner he may need to be very comfortable sharing with me and I know there will be things he couldn't share or wouldn't want to share and I'm ok with that. Sulli is one of the coolest guys ever who loves people, including kids. He recently went bowling and to Grand Pre with a few fans and the rest of the team. The whole time he was playing with the kiddies!! Gotta love a big tough guy who loves kids and is sweet to a little southern chick!! SO I love my two boys they make me laugh!!!

What I just realized about my little Zach

Yesterday I realized that next season we'll have a 20 year old baby bogi on our hands!! Then what's sadder is that in the 2011-2012 season there will be a 21 year old Bogi on our hands!! My little man is getting so old and you know what that means when he's getting old, I'm getting really old. If only I could be a fly on the wall when he goes out for his 21st birthday. He'll always be my little man, just wish he didn't have to grow up so fast!! I'm so proud of the young man he's becoming- so proud, diginified, thankful and respectful. Bogi is one of the guys who will stay until every fan is taken care of, even taking things for his teammates. He is also very cute with kids. One time I was at practice and so was a little girl who was about 2, she was up on the platform the bleachers were on right next to the boards. When Bogi came skating over to get in line he sees her and wiggles his fingers at her, the little girl starts to gigle and so does Bogi. When I saw this I was like "AWWW! Bogi!" the smile goes away as he looks away as if to say "I didn't just do something cute!!" It was by far one of the most precious moments ever! I've said it before and I'll keep saying it, I love that little boy!! I love him more than I've loved any other boy in the ministry and probably spent the most time and money on him. I also did a very bad thing--I gave him sugar!!! You don't give a 19 year old sugar!! You just don't!! Yes ladies and gentleman, I gave into the temptation to be cool and I gave Bogi his favorite candy, skittles! Everytime he smile I smile!! I love this boy!! If he gets traded I'll be sad!!

Bogi is amazing!!!
I have a thrasher and a Gladiator I pray for. The Glads are minor league so I'm on my third Gladiator at least! Since I started the Thrasher section of the ministry I only had one Thrasher, the amazing 19 year-old super star, Zach Bogi Bogosian. I fell in love with this little boy especially during the 2009 camp. I went a few days just to see him, not knowing what to expect. The first day I went up to him and gave him a little package filled with stuff like verses. He didn't say much just thanks. The next time I went I went up to Zach and asked him for a picture and I also asked him about the verses. He smiled that sweet little 19 year old smile and said "They were really nice thanks." I got all goofy and didn't know what to say, I think I said awesome but I haven't a clue. I know he's a kid who has a girlfriend but I'm smitten!! He's a dork, which has provided for some funny moments!! Like once I was waiting for him and Ondrej Pavelec to come off the ice and I hear the best laugh EVER!! I look and sure enough there's bogi about to fall backwards into the bench box. I was like "Squiral!! AWWW!" he looks, the smile disappears and he looks away like "I didn't just do something cute!" He later comes off the ice all serious signing some stuff for fans and grabs his note from me.
This boy can do no wrong!! I honestly don't know what I would do with out this little boy!! I want to keep him. I know he's growing up and I hate it!!! The only thing that frustrates me is that he's younger than me and has a tricked out car and he also has a message therapist at his beckon call!! I'm still driving my beat up old Taurus and I have to pay @ least $30 for a 30 minute message!!! How flippin' fair is that? I did hear someone say I should hide him some where and pose as him for a week or two but I think people would catch on when Bogi is about a foot shorter, has a higher voice and can't even stand on his skates. Oh yeah I'm a complete goober when it comes to grace!! I'm so ungraceful it's sad!! Life would be interesting as a hockey player!
I love this young man and I'll post more about him!!
